External Awning

External awnings are a great option if you’re looking to make the most out of your deck or patio while avoiding direct sunlight, wind and rain. At Barrys Affordable Blinds we specialise in a wide variety of the latest external awnings which will compliment any domestic, commercial or architectural project.

 

Our wide variety of external fabrics fall under 3 categories.

Mesh: Outlook Mesh fabrics will block and reflect up to 99% of solar energy while still allowing airflow, helping to create a cool, comfortable environment. Mesh fabric will allow you to retain the view while having the maximum privacy with our options of different degrees of blockout.

Acrylic: The Docril Acrylic collection comes with many colours and designs that are UV stabilised and will reduce solar heat gain by up to 90% as well as protect by resisting mildew and rot. This collection of Acrylic fabric is water resistant and also does come with water proof options.

Canvas: We have a range of traditional canvas with options of striped or solid colour which offers complete blockout protection of the sun and heat. Canvas fabric is water repellent and rot resistant.

PVC: We offer an option of clear PVC or Tinted fabric that is fully transparent and will allow you to retain views of your landscape while keeping rain and wind at bay.

 

Ziptraks

Ziptrak external blinds provide a simple and effective solution for protecting your space against the elements. Whether opting for manual or motorised, these highly functional blinds lock securely in the down position, providing additional defence against light winds and UV rays without the need for zips or buckles.

Automatic Awnings

The automatic awning is the most common external blind that operates on guides allowing the blind to be easily adjusted. This awning is available in a range of arm lengths to suit any style of home or application. We also have the option of a Systems 2000 Automatic Awning.

Straight Drop (Auto and Geared)

Straight drops are a stylish and simple awning that allows you to operate with no guide rails or wire, allowing airflow through both sides. This awning is operated easily using either a crank handle or a pull down stick depending on the style of straight drop ordered.

Wire Guide

The wire guide awning operates on guide wires which are tensioned and permanently fixed allowing you the ability to control and stop the awning at any level down the guides. Available motorised or geared.

Fixed Guide

The fixed guide awnings are permanently fixed on guide bars and are ideal for upper storey applications. Fixed guide awnings are available to be motorised which will allow you to move your awning up and down with ease.

Pivot Arm

Pivot arms are a premium style awning with an anodized finish to complement the awnings hardware. It has a heavy duty contemporary design ideally suited for larger windows where the awning needs to project away from the building to allow the windows to open.

Folding Arm Range

We have a range of folding arm awnings that are a great way to extend your roof line or enable you to use your outdoor entertaining area when raining – however ensure the awning is dry before folding away. Depending on the size they are available to be motorized or manually operated. Only acrylic fabric is available for these awnings.

Folding arm range includes FA22 Piccolo, FA42 Classic, FA44 Design, FA45 Cross Over and FA48 Semi Cassette.

Caribbean

Caribbean awnings are aluminium constructed and are used as covers over doors and patios. They can have open or closed sides for protection.

Dutch Hood and Cupola

Dutch hood and cupola awnings are mostly used for shop fronts or over doorways and windows. They are framed with aluminium and can be finished with or without scallop edging.

Verandah Drop

Particularly great for verandas and patios, the verandah drop awning is operated using a series of rope and pulleys to roll to your desired height. Any excess rope is secured by cleats.
